Welcome to my personal web page! I am a postdoctoral research associate at Agrosphere Institute, Forschungszentrum Jülich. Previously, I was a lecturer in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Technical University of Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). Owing to my strong interest in interdisciplinary research, and my curiosity to experience a different research culture, I decided to pursue a PhD, combining both Computer Science as well as GIScience at Institute of Geoinformatics, University of Muenster. My PhD was funded through the International Research Training Group on Semantic Integration of Geospatial Information by the DFG (German Research Foundation). The dissertation employed interdisciplinary research methods to infer information about geographic events from sensor observations. My teaching specialties include Web Design and Development, Internet Technology, and GIS. I have also served as a contract researcher at Malaysian Research Centre, British Telecommunications plc.
